But what exactly is wrong with the automatic.Im looking to purchase the older generation(2004 - 2008) The only enthusiasts driving this car are people who enjoy spirited runs to NoFrills. An automatic is perfectly suitable for this middle-income highway cruiser. One of Honda's strong points is definitely not automatic transmissions which is why people recommend against it. The K24 has plenty of potential and the older gen TSX is a great looking car and reliable. I just wouldn't own one in automatic. Also terrible Honda automatic reliablility I owned a 2005 6spd and it was pretty fun.I think a 6spd TSX (first-generation, of course) is a good daily driver. Because race car! Change the fluid every 75k or so with real Honda ATF though. The Auto TSX is 100% fine. It should be the default transmission choice for this car. The 6MT TSX is a pretty niche option.its something for the guy who gave up his RSX or S2000 for something that can carry a baby seat.
